Since its rise to global success in the app store, Flappy Bird is now a true viral phenomenon. But possibly the most interesting aspect of it all is the developer himself – Dong Nguyen.

Based in Vietnam, Dong credits the app’s success to his ‘luck’.

He continues to avoid the spotlight his game has created, and requests his ‘peace’ back. He goes further to say that the success of this game is ‘something I never want’.

So far this week he has turned down interviews with the press, app investors, game conferences meetups, and interest from international ad networks who want to advertise in his apps. Check out his twitter updates below.

He has also confirm that Flappy Bird will stay only in the mobile games world – by saying ‘no’ to a deal with a Target and Walmart supplier.

But despite his reluctance for the spotlight, his game continues to enthrall the world. It’s now being compared to life itself.
